About Elizabeth

Caring for children comes naturally for me. I started babysitting as a teen and have since come to love centering my career around children. I have extensive experience in the educational setting; from co-founding a self directed learning center here in Sebastopol to now working with children with special needs in one of our local schools. I am passionate about creating safe and nurturing spaces where young people are able to practice autonomy. I love facilitating play based learning and am big on encouraging kids to spend time away from screens and outdoors. I love to cook delicious, healthy meals and am always grateful when the opportunity presents itself to cook for families. I hold a Child Development Associates (CDA) and have completed coursework in early child development. I am up to date on child CPR and first aid trainings. I have experience and am comfortable working with children with special needs. People call me by my middle name which is Rose.
