I have enjoyed having a pack of 6 dogs since 1998 (older members, sadly, depart; I use that opportunity to rescue or rehome other dogs-- can't save the older or terminally ill dogs my pack, but I can save a new life). My packs are all mixed breeds from 10 to 110 pounds. Pits, Rottweilers, Chows, other "dangerous breeds" are fine. My previous weekend job had a 200 pound mastiff, whom I adored! I had to quit 8/15 when the mother kicked the dog in the face right in front of me (for lying on the rug at my feet while the girls were safely upstairs napping. I wanted to provide her with the attention and love she wasn't getting due to the 2 young children. I could not work for someone who would abuse an My daughter had every variety of pets growing up- mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, birds, hermit crabs. I am comfortable with exotic pets like snakes, turtles, iguanas, spiders, large lizards, etc. I can provide weekend care but no overnights-- my pack needs me. We sleep as a pack.
