I work as a special needs tutor/mentor/coach. I am having great success with social skills, writing, math, science, social studies and homework assistance. Empathetic and patient to the core, I find ways to communicate and to teach that are fun and fulfilling. Happiness is often based on the child's success in moving forward and finding positives. I have 20 years of experience with getting children through school, as well as getting children into college or special programs(and researching which school suits the student's needs the best). I have worked extensively with children with Learning Differences. I am familiar with both public and private education. I easily get children enthused, excited and upbeat about learning. To break things up, we do meditation, breathing to help concentration, yoga-like exercises, light weights, yoga, calisthenics and ballet if appropriate for the child (I was a ballerina).
