About Elizabeth

A nurturing family tutor-mentor/Nanny who listens to the children and coordinates with the parents and the schools curriculum. Beyond helping with homework, I work with the child's behavioral social skills. Recently I have perfected the use of virtual skills. Experienced with private and public schools, I work with the child's existing curriculum and IEP, if available. I specialize in helping children with LD, ADHD, dyslexia and mild forms of Autism. My love is to find each child's strengths and to build their self-esteem. As a former ballerina, I often incorporate movement into our curriculum. I am artistic and believe in healthy bodies and minds. I am also an architectural designer who believes that form provides function to the family. We hired Elizabeth primarily for our 10 year old boy who needed extra academic support as well as caring hand. Elizabeth was everything we had hoped for. She was caring, kind, knowledgeable and firm when needed. She engaged our children in conversations about science, current events, projects they were working on at school and asked probing questions to support critical thinking. She was creative and found different ways to engage our son in his studies. But most of all she had boundless patience and really cared about our son and our family. I would have no reservations in recommending her.
