About Elizabeth

I have been working as a caregiver in some fashion most of my life. I began watching children towards the end of grade school and continued babysitting until I graduated from high school. Shortly after graduation I earned a diploma as a medical assistant and went to work for a pediatrician. I supported myself in college working for a professional nanny service. Upon graduation, I worked at Brookfield Zoo and the Shedd Aquarium where I worked with animals using positive based training. I also worked as an emergency vet tech and surgical assistant. In 2013 I left my job of 14 years working for a children's book distributor because I was miserable in an office setting. I joined Care. Com and have enjoyed numerous before school, after school, and house manager positions. Last year, my 6 year position ended when the family moved. It was a privilege to watch those 2 girls grow and develop during that time and to be part the their family. I took the last year off the help care for my mother.
