About Elizabeth

I'd describe my personality as curious, quirky, joyful. I like tutoring because it helps me to support the needs of others outside of the normal school year. I'm looking for a job that meets one or more times per week. I can lead science enrichment, science curriculum, study skills, cooking, sewing, crocheting, and gardening skills for one or more children to provide hands on nature and science focused experiences and experiments. I started tutoring when I was in college to become a teacher. I taught science enrichment at a summer camp to children aged K-8th grade. I offer tutoring after school during the regular school year. One thing you should know about me is I believe that the key to learning is to make it fun! The brain absorbs and retains much more when it's connected to fun! My skills include Earth, space, & life sciences, and physics & chemistry at the middle school level. Additionally, I can provide study strategies and support the development of these types of skills.
