About Elizabeth

I love working with animals because I believe they are much more like us than we often think! They have their own personalities, fears, preferences, and joys. I love getting to know them and offering them the care they deserve. My first job was as a dog walker for a pet boarding facility in college. Since then, I've worked as a caregiver at a sanctuary for farmed animals, a dog caregiver and veterinary assistant at an animal shelter, and an emergency and critical care floor and triage nurse at an animal specialty hospital. I also dipped my toe in parrot and wildlife rescue work! Throughout my career, I've fostered animals with medical needs and cared for the animal companions of friends and family. In my spare time, I like to listen to music and lounge in my garden with my three pups and kitty. My skills include fear free handling, medication administration, and bladder expression (I even have my own pup with paresis that I do this for daily).
