Experience: 10 yrs
Hello! I'm a retired cardiac RN of 15 years. I have extensive experience with the elderly and medically vulnerable, including hospice patients & have been consistently providing home caregiving to clients since 2020. I am now looking to become independent and branch out on my own. I'm willing to do housework (general housekeeping, dishes, laundry), run errands, provide transportation, and assist with meal preparation, among other things. I also provide help to more complex clients who need assistance with Activities of Daily Living, wound care, catheter care, and durable medical equipment, including bedbound patients and those with significant mobility issues. I have prior experience operating Hoyer lifts. My background and expertise have been great assets to my success as a caregiver. Professional and Personal References available on request.

When we first met Liz, I immediately knew we had found the right person for the most important job—caring for my father, who had Lewy Body Parkinson's Disease. She cared for him as if he were her own family. I always felt he was safe with her, and her medical training gave her the ability to calmly handle any issue that came up. What stood out most was how she met him where he was each day, adapting to his needs with patience and compassion. Her voice was always soft and calming when she spoke to him. I would often overhear their conversations and think, "If I ever needed someone to care for me, I’d want it to be Liz." She was honest, dependable, and always on time. She even stepped in to cover extra shifts when needed. Liz was also creative—taking my dad on little outings to help him explore and enjoy life outside the house. Not only did she help make the final part of my father’s life meaningful, but she also supported me as I watched him become trapped in his own body. Her presence was a true gift to our family.
