About Elizabeth

I grew up in Miami, Florida. As a kid, it was no surprise that I connected with animals naturally. Some kids played with their imaginary friends. Meanwhile, I played with lizards, stray cats, and dogs. At 7, one of my first pets was Twinky, a rescued poodle. Watching him grow and being able to care for him, feeding, bathing, walking, playing, skateboarding (yes, true story), and cuddling with him permanently left an impression on my heart. Shortly after, I became so drawn to the process of raising animals. I ended up fostering two kittens left by their mother in my backyard at 12 (much more begging and pleading to my parents); we had cared for parrots, ferrets, cats, and dogs! (We even rescued an owl at one point.) I have five years of experience in the Animal Care industry. This includes volunteering at shelters and cat cafes, working as a customer representative at a 24-hour animal hospital, and independently running a pet-sitting business.
