Hi there, I'm Bess! I am a 22-year-old college graduate based in Arlington, VA with several years of experience in traditional babysitting, supervising children while parents work remotely, and group childcare. I regularly volunteer with nursery and preschool-age children (0-5 years) at my church, a position for which I passed a background check. Outside of childcare itself, I have significant experience working with children and older kids (all ages), including in tutoring and classroom settings. I have a working fluency of Spanish reading, writing, and speaking, though not at a native mastery level. I have also worked with children with special needs, primarily autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Down syndrome, and would be happy to do so again. I will note that while I currently have extensive availability, I am actively seeking full-time employment outside of childcare, so I may not be a good fit for a long-term nanny or daytime need.
