About Elizabeth

I taught elementary and middle school for many years. Concurrently I've taught over 100 graduate classes for K-12 educators for 25 years. While much of my public school experience involved working with elementary and middle school students, I've recently returned to working with preschool children. My grad classes explore ways to incorporate movement, novelty, and fun into learning, so that the brain is more likely to understand and remember academic tasks. I especially enjoy working with discouraged learners and finding ways to make school learning feel more relevant and accessible to them. I've been involved with a child care center for many years and believe the toddler/preschool years bring important opportunities to learn the attitudes and skills that will be crucial for later school success. The learning that happens during these important years literally helps to create the brain and offers amazing teaching opportunities to parents, teachers and care-givers.
