About Elisabeth

I'd describe my philosophy as creative, loving, and structured. I like working with kids because there is always a new adventure to explore, a curious question to seek the answer to, and a new perspective to try to understand. I'm looking for a job for the summer that shares core values of integrity, joyfulness, and child-directed exploration. I also provide academic tutoring for elementary-aged students for an increased rate. As the 2nd of 5 kids, working with kids always felt natural. I have been a second grade teacher with Lawrence Public Schools for two years now, and will be started night classes for a masters in Educational Leadership and Policy at Boston College this summer to find ways to work more closely with community-school partnerships. In my spare time, I like to spend time outdoors on hikes or nature walks. I also enjoy reading books and spending time with family. My skills include fostering imaginative play, in depth literacy/math training, and Spanish.
