About Elena

I am a recent graduate of Northern Illinois University, where I completed both my bachelor's and master's in Human Development and Family Sciences. During my time at NIU, I served as an intern, assistant teacher, and graduate assistant in the Infant, Toddler, Two's and Preschool age classrooms of Child Development Lab and Campus Child Care. Both centers have achieved the highest accreditations from DCFS and NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Through my education, I have achieved Level 5 credentials in Early Childhood Education and in the areas of Infants and Toddlers. Although the majority of my experiences with young children, I do have experience working with school aged children as well. I am a very creative, hands on, and passionate educator who implements positive guidance and an emergent, non- biased approach to working with children. I absolutely love working with children and I strive to ensure that they achieve their highest potential.
