About Elena

I like to paint, bake and (try to) learn ASL in my free time! I can help with elementary math and art, but I want to focus on teaching Spanish to children. I believe that it is a truly valuable skill and learning about other cultures is amazing!! I volunteered as a child mentor last year as part of a volunteer program held in my High School. We were each assigned a kid to help read and play with. Seeing how different all the children were after span of 8 months was incredible!! My favorite part about tutoring is helping children be more confident in their abilities and seeing their hard work pay off. I'm looking for a job that gives me more experience. I'm also searching for something that can accommodate to my schedule as a college student (with unexpected projects, events, conferences). I am usually able to keep a steady schedule, but it is something that affects my work availability.
