About Elena

I received my MA in 2018 in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Portland State University. Prior to and during that time that I taught EFL/ESL both domestically and abroad. I taught in China from 2010-2011 and in South Korea during the summer of 2015. I have experiences teaching/tutoring kids as young as 4 years old EFL as well as adults and university level students. I have 4+ years of experience with individual tutoring as well as teaching whole classes of students. My undergraduate duel degrees included BA German and BA Women's Studies. I am comfortable speaking conversational German. My main strengths are teaching English pronunciation, listening and speaking, but I am fully trained to teach reading, writing as well as grammar.
