About Elena

I recently graduated with my masters in clinical counseling from University of Maine Farmington and am looking for work while prepping for my exam and licensure as a therapist. This past school year I interned as a school counselor for kids ages 5-15 where I would help expand student's emotional intelligence and limit disruptive behaviors. Before that I worked as a BHP at a private preschool, working with kids 2-5 y/o. Not only do I have extensive knowledge of child development, but my graduate degree is unique in its emphasis in expressive arts. I utilize coloring, painting, clay work, nature-based, and essentially any other expressive modality to stimulate children and grow their creativity and imagination, all while building problem-solving skills and confidence. I also was a varsity athlete through high school and college and am happy to keep up with active kids outside. I have 6+ years of waitress experience, so I am comfortable in a role of prepping food and light housekeeping
