About Eleanor

I like doing work where I can connect with people, no matter the age, but I most enjoy when I am able to use my imagination. I find work most fulfilling when I can see the positive impact; for example, when I can help someone learn a new skill that they feel proud of, or build a trusting relationship. I started working with kids in high school as a tutor and babysitter. I also worked as a summer camp counselor in high school and for one summer in college. I am CPR and first aid trained and certified. I am an artist and musician, and work at a community print shop in my spare time. I enjoy riding my bike, cooking, and reading books. The child care skills I am most proud of are my empathy, patience, and resourcefulness. I am passionate about coming up with creative solutions when kids are frustrated or upset, and finding ways to turn even tough situations into positive moments of connection. I love to make things fun and lean into silliness whenever possible!
