About Elaine

I have always loved older people. As a child, if you could not find me, check an elderly neighbor's home as there is where I would be, chatting and having tea! I have a Master's degree in Blind rehabilitation. Although blindness can happen for many reasons and at any age, I did have many elderly clients with Low Vision. I have a love for people and a deep respect for their dignity and right to make informed decisions for themselves. I would be honored to a be a part of any elderly person's life, whether it is to sit and chat, run errands, prepare meals or snacks, read, clean and etc. In fact, as a child, I used to care for a man with multiple sclerosis. I panicked when I could not open the new bottle of apple juice and I timidly approached him to "confess". He told me to run the lid under hot water for a minute, to my relief it open right up! I am CPR and first aid certified and more importantly, I love and respect people.
