Hiya! My name is Elaina, although most of my coworkers call me "Awaina" since the letter L is a struggle. I have been a nanny off on for four years, starting in 2019. I have worked with four families, and a total of over 16 children ages 4 months to 17 years. I put a lot of thoughtfulness into how I approach helping to raise children, including Montessori methods, gentle parenting, and most importantly just really getting to know your kid for who they are. At the moment I am between jobs. In all actuality I have not been a working full time as a nanny for some time. Having recently completed my MA in Fine Art and worked at a local art gallery, I'm hoping to take some time to refocus. I am namely looking for one-off, temporary, or just "here-and-there" jobs. Elaina has been wonderful with my 5-mo. old daughter. She's always on-time or a few minutes early, and she offered to set up a time to meet my daughter ahead of our scheduled time so she could get to know her. I also love that she asked questions about my daughter's routine, and spends the time she's here interacting and playing with her. She's definitely a natural caregiver and it shows.
