I worked as an individual healthcare provider/personal care assistant 4 years. I worked with a client with Spinal Muscular Atrophy for assistance in completion of activities of daily living and transfers to and from his power chair to bed, commode, & shower chair. I would also help him out with some light housekeeping, cooking, and taking care of his cat! Last summer I also worked as the activities director for People with Disabilities. I am a 3rd year occupational therapy student, and am hoping to find some work for the summer before my full-time clinicals start up in the fall.
