About Eileen

A bit about me: I am a preschool teacher at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Novato, and have been working there for 3 years now. I work daily with children ages 2-4. I have 24 Child and Family Studies units from Napa Valley College, and I am CPR and First Aid certified. Prior to teaching, I also have several years of experience babysitting children ages 0-10, including babysitting for individual families, and providing childcare for large groups of children at events. I love working with children and am fascinated by the process of their development! Their little minds are absolutely intriguing. I love to play and experiment alongside them, and my approach to discipline and teaching is very much based in authoritative parenting style (aka gentle parenting) and play-based learning. I'm currently looking for a nanny job for the summer!

She was very flexible with her hours of care and was very responsive when I reached out. She had lots of energy for dealing with my (7m) child, but also knows lots of calming activities and games to keep him busy. It’s reassuring how responsible she is, and that she’s CPR and first aid certified. I love how great she is with my son!
