About Effie

I'm a loving caregiver and tutor! I'm a mother to one and have been a nanny to several children of different ages over the years. I'm passionate about caring for and teaching anyone from the teeny tiniest learners all the way up to adults who have got it (almost) all figured out. Over the past 20 years I have been honing my tutoring and caregiving skills in all kinds of capacities. I started out with inner-city programs as a service-learning class in high school and fell in love with helping people reach higher. From there I went on to Big Brothers Big Sisters, nannying babies and toddlers, tutoring remedial readers in elementary and middle school, and finally to the mountains to work as a ski instructor for all ages. I am musically inclined and happy to incorporate that into learning whenever I can. Also, as an ADHDer myself and raising a young superhero brain, I've got some experience. I firmly believe anyone can learn with the right person by their side. Hey, you just found her!
