I've been working in geriatric assisted living a little over 5 years now. I like helping people and take pride in doing the best I can where I work now. But often feel that aide to patient/resident ratios make top quality care/attention hard. More than id like we have time to meet base physical needs. not much for the top end/psychosocial needs. I'm looking to help/care for people the way they want. not what profit will allow. whether that means comfortably passing with dignity or working to maintain or improve your health. I'm strong enough to help most transfer without lifts. but I know my way around hoyers/sit to stand lifts if needed. I have experience with ostomies, catheters and incontinence products. I will learn your needs, wants, preferences and routines quickly. thank you for your consideration.
