I have tremendous knowledge/experience interacting with the elderly population. I worked as a senior care provider for 6 years now. I worked with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, ALS, Parkinson's disease, Spinal cord injury, Schizophrenia, and Bipolar disorder. I assisted and enabled them to complete their ADLs such as bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, and grooming despite their physical or mental disability. I also assisted them with medication management and completing their exercise regimen. I worked in a rehab center for 6 months as an occupational therapy (OT) student by performing evaluation and implementing individualized treatment plan for a variety of patients.
