About Eden

My name is Eden and I am originally from Ethiopia but I was born and raised in Washington D. C ; a district enriched with diverse backgrounds. Becoming exposed to new cultures helped promote my creativity and exposed me to new perspectives. I currently attend the University of Maryland at College Park studying Information Science with a focus in Cybersecirty and a minor in the Spanish language. At a young age, I was taught the Spanish language and culture at school and spoke the Amharic language at home. My diverse identity permitted me to reach my goals in helping others within my own society. My academic experiences have also contributed to my background. Currently work at DC bilingual Elementary as an after school care teacher while finishing my last year at the University of Maryland. I also currently sit 2 other families occasionally that attend the school, I have 4-5 years of experience with kids and love any opportunity that is given to me.
