About Dori

I am a retired elementary teacher of 39 years. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I am a certified special education teacher. I have a hands on philosophy using organizational strategies, starting with the basics and building knowledge. All children can learn! You just need to find the key to unlock the way YOUR child learns. I'd describe my personality as consistent, flexible, and motivational. I like tutoring because I still want to make a difference in children's' lives. I'm looking for a job that I can work with 1 or 2 children that will help them fill in the gaps of their learning, moving them towards grade level curriculum. In my spare time, I like to spend time with family, read, and go to the beach. One thing you should know about me is I am consistent and want the best for all children. My skills include organization, individual work for each child, and a knowledge of the Massachusetts curriculum.
