I have had the opportunity to care for an 86-year-old woman, and I loved it. I helped her with her medications, bathing, daily care ( changing her, making her meals, changing her bedding and laundry). I cared for her for a few months. A few summers ago I also had the opportunity to care for a elderly lady that needed full time care. I would take care of her sometime for a few hours, and once a week it would be overnight. I would get her up and dress her and help her with her morning routine, then throughout the day was there for her for meals, bathroom help, companionship, and sometimes I would help her with getting ready for bed. At night I would mostly help with going to the bathroom.

We were in a desperate situation seeking care for my father after he was physically beat up by a caregiver at Renaissance Village in Murrieta. He was then in Kaiser hospital and we had to find a new memory care clinic for him. We also needed to find additional people to sit with him, and chart his progress including sleeping patterns, and monitoring his behavior. Not only was Doreen very caring, she was the true professional when it came to her responsibilities and very flexible with us as we were uncertain of exactly what was needed for my father . I would give her the highest recommendation if you are in need of a caregiver for a loved one. Scott
