This is the background check we require for all caregivers.
Experience: 10 yrs
I consider raising my children the most important job in my life. That being said, working in the dental field, volunteering in the nursery and teaching 3 yr olds at church, working for a dog rescue, vet clinic and owning and managing a horse facility all add to years of life and work experience before becoming a nanny. I have found that working as a nanny and serving families is what I do best and I consider it a privilege and joy! My nanny experience includes newborn twins, preemies, breastfeeding support, gentle sleep training, physical therapy, and type 1 diabetes management. My bent is toward holistic and healthy living, attachment parenting for infants and more structure for toddlers. I have been an employer as well as an employee. I am a lover of my family, animals, the outdoors, reading, music, and serving. Each of my long term families would love to speak with you about their experience with me as their nanny.

Donna has been an integral part of our family for the past four years. Donna joined us when our daughter, was just nine months old, and since then, she has been a loving, devoted, and invaluable caregiver to both our daughter and our son (22 mos), from the moment he was born. To say Donna is part of our family would be an understatement. She has cared for our children with a true mother’s love—nurturing them, guiding them, and always putting their best interests first. Her kindness, patience, and unwavering support have created a warm and secure environment where our children have thrived. Beyond her exceptional caregiving, Donna’s attentiveness quite literally changed our lives. She was the first to notice that our daughter's outbursts were not typical toddler behavior, but rather a sign of something more. Thanks to her keen observation, we were able to recognize that she was experiencing very high glucose levels—leading to her diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes. Without Donna’s intuition, we might not have realized the severity of the situation until it required an extended ICU admission. For this, we are forever grateful. Donna will always be a cherished part of our family, and while we are heartbroken to see her move on, we know that any family who welcomes her into their home will be gaining not just a nanny, but a loving, dedicated, and truly special person.
