I am a mom who has raised a child with special needs into adulthood. My daughter received the best of medical care with me as her advocate. I've clocked in thousands of hours of therapy visits with OT, PT, and Speech. I've been a part of and formed support groups with other parents with children who have special needs. I find these children and young adults teach us more about ourselves than we teach them. They are a gift and a blessing in their own way.
