I am an educator with 9 years of experience teaching elementary schoolers everything from their ABC's to regulating their emotions. I also have experience working as an art instructor. I would describe myself as a soft-spoken warm demander (firm but fair) with a colorful energy. As I transition from working in the classroom I am looking for a for a family who would benefit from a holistic approach to child care. My holistic approach includes incorporating mindfulness skills, supporting in art/play-based learning, and offering tutoring services. After months of searching for the right caregiver for our 6 year old daughter, we have found a wonderful match in Domonique. Some words that come to mind when I think of our experience so far include developmentally informed, reliable, kind, warm, playful, and intuitive. She has a lovely ability to invite our daughter into activities including art and outdoor play at the just-right pace. Our daughter is always well regulated and engaged when we come home and she often has a beautiful creation to share with us. In sum, we are so glad to have connected with Domonique and we recommend her wholeheartedly.
