About Dolores

I have 3+ years of experience working with children, specifically with infants and toddlers. I also have experience with school -aged children as well. I have worked in both a home setting as well as an educational setting. I've worked in a child development center as well as with individual families. While TV is fun, I like to prioritize pretend play, arts & crafts, activities, and reading. I think it's important to encourage fun and learning. I believe hands on is the best way to do so, and it's something fun for kids to interact with and engage in. Working in a child development center, we used schedules, and that's something I like to integrate into the work I do with families. I like to make schedules for what our day will entail. I make adjustments and changes based on what work and what doesn't, as well as for the daily mood and behavior of the child(ren). I feel having a schedule helps prepare for schooling as well as provides comfort in knowing what to expect.
