For over 11 years, I have cared for a Rett girl; she is now being place in a group home; Duties that I have performed, bathing, toileting, hair, nails, dressing, teeth, prepared all meals, feeding, maintained and cleaned apartment, (in parent's home), medications, at occasion drove her to and from her program, food shopping, prepped for art classes at home; games, puzzles, other activities, walks, stationary bike, rising, to bed; I grew up in a household, being the oldest of 13 children, like a second Mom to my siblings, so seeing a need and filling it is innate; I try to put myself in the client's position, how I would feel, someone caring for me; and even if they are not able to realize or think about that, I treat client's with dignity, respect, and love; keeping them dressed and cleaned, just as if it were myself; I give great attention to every detail;
