I cared for a woman with dementia for three years. I was with her through hospice until she passed away. I was responsible for shopping, medical appointments, outings, hiring other caregivers, finances and most of all, being a companion to her. I have also cared for two other women with Alzheimer's and I have worked in a home caring for developmentally disabled clients. for the last two and a half years I cared for a senior gentleman. I was a companion, I cooked, shopped and took him took him to doctors appointments. I also helped care for his dog and his garden. I am passionate about caring for those in need.. I love cooking, gardening, nature and art.

I hired Diane to help take care of my mom due to vascular dementia. Initially, Diane came in to spend time with her and she was still pretty high functioning, but needed companionship and help with preparing meals, med management, grocery shopping, running errands, etc. As the years went on and my mom started to decline, the work Diane did with my mom changed to more hands-on care-taking. My mom always had a big smile for Diane when she came to work - she genuinely loved her. The relationship Diane developed with my mother was so sweet and tender. It eased my mind to know that she was being so well taken care of. Towards the end of my mother's life, she was in diapers, non-verbal, and required constant assistance. I had to bring in two other caretakers and Diane was the lead, overseeing all of her care. She managed the hospice nurses and doctors and cared for my mother as if she were her own family member. When my mom passed, Diane and I were at her side. I am eternally grateful.
