I am a healthy and active grandmother of 4 and mother of 3, who loves to enrich children's lives with books, creativity, art and outdoor play. My joy was playing with my youngest grandsons (ages 4 and 1) until they moved East a few months ago. Now, I am seeking part-time opportunities to nourish children with books, play and fun activities while their parents work. For over 30 years, I taught early childhood classes and older grades as well. As a teacher with a Masters in education and as an advocate for play, I created a Discovery Room at my last school where 4 and 5-year-olds could engage in all types of play: block building, dress up/dramatic play, water play, making play-dough as a science experiment and acting out stories. The children loved coming to the Discovery Room and I loved facilitating their creativity and development. My current passions are swimming, practicing yoga (I am a teacher as well), bike riding, painting, writing and reading books about anti-racism.

Diane was completely dependable and caring to our two children and family. She always had an upbeat and happy demeanor which my children loved. She helped with picking them up from school, bringing them to activities, and playing with them at home or at the playground. She engaged them in fun art activities. I still have the special Mother's Day box she helped the kids make for me that contained inspiring messages for me to look at. I highly recommend Diane.
