This is the background check we require for all caregivers.
Experience: 4 yrs
I am 70 years old and retired from the business field. I started working with infant children as early as 2 months old and up and enjoy that very much. It's nice to be a part of their growth and development along with nurturing and loving. Experience is within the last 4 years and family experience in my twenties and thirties. For the last year and a half I have been taking care of a 94-year-old lady as she was needing help with feeding, bathing, preparing meals, going to doctors appointments and shopping, light house keeping and various other things concerning her health. I find it to be very rewarding and get thank you's from many people for being a caregiver. I like working with children and the elderly and don't mind if they have pets. I take care of them too.

I needed very basic service: to be driven from a dental appointment where I was sedated back to my home. Normally I'm independent and never would have thought of hiring anyone, but apparently Florida state law does not allow a medical office to release a sedated patient on their own. Diane was very professional from start to finish. After hiring her (or perhaps as part of the hiring process) we spoke on the phone for quite some time. She asked all the questions I'd hoped she'd ask about me, and explained her own qualifications to my satisfaction. The day of the procedure, she arrived before she was even expected. My procedure ended early, the office asked "Where is Diane?, it was still almost 45 minutes before she was supposed to arrive. I contacted her indicating things were going quicker than expected and she was there immediately. what I really admired about her was her professionalism and her concern. As I said, I'm pretty independent and was just expecting her to drop me off at the front of my home and let me go. Thankfully, she was having none of that. She insisted on accompanying me to my front door to make sure nothing happened to me while I was on her watch. But moreover, and I would hire her again because of this, she said she would call me later that evening to make sure I was okay. This was above and beyond what she was hired for. And she did indeed check to make sure I was feeling okay and if there was anything I still needed assistance with. It meant a great deal to me that she wanted to follow-up. Her personality matched her professionalism: it was perfect. I would hire her again in an instant. Y'all should too.
