My husband was a brittle juvenile diabetic. He passed away in 2010 after suffering for the last 10 years of his life with this disease. He lived with diabetes for 51 years. My son is now a diabetic as well. He is 19 presently. I was a caretaker for 10 years with my husband after his two amputations. I feel I am very qualified to take care of someone with diabetes. I also have a lot of compassion with anyone with this disease, as my husband suffered with amputations, kidney disease, heart disease, dementia (brain damage due to insulin shock reactions), blindness, etc.
