My name is Dezhia, and I have 9 years of experience in caregiving. I would like to start by saying that I have a true passion for helping those who cannot fully help themselves. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work degree from North Carolina A & T State University, concentrating on the area of geriatrics. My interest initially began when I became the primary care-giver for my grandmother at the age of 15; in which I did so for 2 years. From there, I decided that once I got to college, this area of study would be what I would continuously devote the rest of my life to. During my post-college career I have provided child care as well as geriatric. I have extensive experience with the following: Ambulation Preparation of medication Transportation Running errands Housekeeping Dressing Meal preparation according to dietary needs Feeding Bathing (bed and traditional) Ambulation Preparation of medication Transportation

Dezhia is amazing! She cared for my very frail father for 6 months and I had no concerns with her as his caregiver. She is very compassionate, thoughtful, and thorough in all that she does. She took the initiative to anticipate my dad's needs and was right there to help him throughout his entire day. She is patient, always very pleasant, and is a sincerely caring and responsible person. I had a great sense of comfort when she was caring for my dad. My dad has now passed away, but he always said how thankful and appreciative he was to have Dezhia help him with his every need. My dad was very particular, and I was apprehensive of how he would receive having someone come in to care for him. He warmed up to Dezhia immediately. We were truly blessed to have her!
