About Devianne

I'd describe my personality as kind, creative, and fun-loving. I like working with kids because I enjoy fostering their creativity and playfulness, helping them to grow into kind human beings, and learning to be more joyful and creative myself by working with them. I started working with kids through babysitting as a teenager. I continued working with kids all through my adult life: nannying part-time during undergrad, tutoring 2nd grade, working as a camp counselor, and working as a recreation and psychiatric counselor at a children's hospital. In my spare time, I like to read, crochet, paint, hike, and go to museums. One thing you should know about me is that I enjoy doing arts and crafts with the kids I care for. I am passionate about artistic expression and believe that all kids should have the opportunity to explore their emotions and dreams by making things with their hands and hearts. My skills include behavior management, activity engagement, and compassionate care.
