To whom it may concern: Iam writing this note about Devante S.'s employment history with my family and me. Devante worked as a healthcare worker/companion and household manger in the care of my mother and father from January 2020 until my Mom's passing in April 2022. Iwas aware of Devante's work previous to employing him. He worked for an agency that provided care for my parents. The relationship and easy communication he developed with my parents was readily noticeable. When Iheard he was leaving the agency, Iasked him to come and work directly for me. Devante was a live-in healthcare worker for my parents. When Devante joined the care team, he was entering a home with an 88 year-old man and woman, who were not 100% in agreement that they needed help. My Mom had dementia, and was less than cooperative. "Breaking into" the established team dynamic, was NOT a trivial affair. However, with his caring nature, positive attitude, and great sense of humor he became a great friend to both Mom and Dad. In addition to his great care, he was 100% reliable to his own committed shifts and filling in willingly when one of the team needed to alter the schedule for a personal requirement. He was a large factor in the team working well together, communicating important information and staying well synchronized. Devante assisted my parents and the rest of the family through many serious health issues as my parent's medical status deteriorated over time. He was positive, communicated all the important issues appropriately, escalated as required, and truly cared for my parents like an adopted grandson. His professionalism, humor, and loving care was a true gift that we enjoyed immensely. Devante's duties were: - Al Dad and Mom's personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, medicine dispensing, etc.) -Meals —They enjoyed Devante's cooking! - Laundry - Keeping the house orderly All were accomplished without incident and with loving care. I highly recommend Devante for a similar role and any role he sets his mind to tackle. I will happily take a reference inquiry from any lucky perspective employer who would like to discuss Devante's tenure described above. Regards, Paul
