About Destiny

I am a licensed teacher currently working in special education. Prior to my role in special education, I taught grades K-3 for eight years. While attending George Fox University, I also worked in daycare settings for six years, caring for children from infants to school-age. I am passionate about teaching and enjoy working with children to help them reach their full potential. On weekends, I provide childcare for families through Care. com and have multiple references available. I am comfortable assisting with homework, light housekeeping, and transportation. I am background checked and fingerprinted. Additionally, I am a parent to two children, ages 10 and 13. I commute an hour to work, so location is not a concern for me. I love working with kids! Destiny was the perfect choice for my 6-year-old son! As a kindergarten teacher with experience working with autism, she brought patience, understanding, and skill to her time with him. My son has some unique differences, and I could see how much he benefited from her care and expertise. She communicated with me so well throughout, keeping me informed and reassured, which made the experience even better. She created a comfortable and engaging environment, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such capable hands.
