About Desiree

my name is Desiree and I am a 5th-year college student at the University of California - Davis. Born and raised in LA, I'm looking to gain more hands-on experience working with early and middle childhood-aged kids :) my most relevant previous work experience was during spring 2024 where I took an internship in a third-grade classroom to assist students with classwork & additional tutoring; grade assignments & provide feedback; and (most importantly) reward students accordingly for their behavior & intellectual progress! I like working with kids because I believe that nurturing is incredibly relevant in childhood outcomes. children need figures in their lives who can help them navigate a world in which they are so new to, and I believe I can help them do just that by displaying proper behavior, communication, and emotional support/regulation :) i'm looking forward to conversing with you and trying to meet your childcare needs as best as I can!
