About Desideria

Hi, my name is Desideria, but you can call me Desi! I have a lifelong love for animals and plenty of hands-on experience caring for them. I've fostered a black lab-pit mix puppy and have babysat a German shepherd and a German shepherd-husky mix, watching them grow from playful puppies to wonderful adults. I've also had two cats over the years and currently have one, a foster fail I adopted as a kitten, along with my adorable teacup Yorkie. Since I was 12 years old, I've been volunteering at PAWS Chicago, and I still lend a hand there when my schedule allows. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience with animals of all shapes, sizes, and ages, from big dogs, small dogs, and puppies to older dogs, kittens, cats, and even sick or injured animals. You can rest assured that if you choose me to care for your pets, they will be in loving and capable hands! Education: I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and am currently pursuing my Master's in Social Work.
