About Derek

I'm easing into retirement and looking for families needing someone to watch over and take care of their house and pets while away. I'd describe my personality as thoughtful, respectful, loyal I like caring for homes because I get bored with too much routine and enjoy meeting new people and trying out new settings. I'm looking for a job that proves to be a great, symbiotic type of situation for both myself and the homeowner(s). I've owned, rented out, and managed a number of properties. I will keep your house clean and oversee it. I'm less a housekeeper, though, and more of a reliable housesitter/caretaker for those who need their home taken care of while away. In my spare time, I like to fly fish, read, golf, play soccer and generally remain active. One thing you should know about me is that I am very adaptable and a very good communicator. My skills include yard maintenance, general cleaning and upkeep, and oversight of property and pets.
