I started working in the public school system in 2016 and I currently hold a position of Behavioral Technician at the Elementary level for 3 years now. My first position was at our preschool center as a long-term teachers aide in a integrated preschool classroom (half special needs and behavioral / half peer models) and developed a passion for helping students become independent and successful from the basics (potty training/ fine motor skills) to the more complicated academics. Currently I work in a 3rd & 4th grade district wide classroom where I am constantly meeting the changing needs of our students and building relationships with families in order to sustain the support and growth full circle. EVERY kid is capable of being successful if they can, that means providing the necessary support and guidance for them and giving them opportunities they may not have in a regular classroom setting.
