I am a proud father to a 24-year-old son who served 4 years in the US Navy, and attended public schools and was in the special education strand in elementary school. My son, Jajuan is currently a college student in Tokyo. I bring my experiences as a parent to my role as a passionate educator/childcare giver. I believe that I am uniquely qualified because of my outstanding record working with kids with special needs over the last two years. I also volunteered for a year working with middle school kids in a public kids. For the last two years, I have been a teacher/paraprofessional/assistant teacher in a public high school working with students with down syndrome, multi-handicap and on the autism spectrum. As an educator, I have provided quality daily programming and support to all students regardless of need. I have a strong ability to manage challenging behavior, build rapport and implement fun and educational activities.
