About Dennisha

As a nurturing caregiver with nine years of experience, I am deeply passionate about supporting children's growth and development. My journey began with babysitting, where I discovered my natural ability to connect with kids and support families with dependable, attentive care. In addition to my childcare experience, I have a strong background in mental and behavioral health. I've worked in clinical settings, including the psychiatric unit at Seattle Children's Hospital, where I supported children and adolescents with complex emotional and behavioral needs. I also have hands-on experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), helping children develop essential life skills and manage challenging behaviors with compassion and structure. My calm, patient, and creative personality allows me to engage children in meaningful ways. I prioritize open communication with parents, adapting to their preferred methods whether through detailed daily reports, text updates, or phone calls.
