Dee worked part time as our nanny for >6 months, taking care of our two sons (18 months and 6 months old when she started watching them). Dee is very reliable and is always on time (and frequently early)! Our children both took to her very quickly and it was easy to tell that she really enjoyed being around them. She was really good about working with our older son to learn new words, sounds, gestures, etc. Dee was also very thoughtful and would occasionally bring gifts for our older son based on his current interests. A couple of months ago she ordered him the cutest set of farm animals which immediately became his favorite toys and remain his biggest obsession over 2 months later. Dee has also always been very respectful of our parenting style and understands that each family and child have different needs. For example, we are fairly strict about not letting our kids get any screen time (except for special occasions such as flights, etc), we are strict about them not having any sugar, and we limit processed foods as much as possible. Dee was always great about respecting those parenting decisions and she always respected and enforced our no screens/no sugar rules that we have for our young boys when they were in her care. Our childcare needs have recently changed, so while we no longer will have Dee as a part time nanny for our boys we look forward to having her babysit them for date nights, weddings, and other occasions in the future.
