I work privately as an LPN at an elementary school during the school year and this will be the first summer I'm off in many years. I have a4-year-old daughter that will be attending camp Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. so ideally I would like to find a job on those days from about 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Before becoming a nurse, I was a nursing assistant at a nursing home for a long time and worked as a DSP as well as a substitute teacher for Boces (just to name some of my professional experiences). I have a background in art and psychology/humanities and dance. I have 8+ years experience working with developmentally disabled children and adults. I also have training in expressive and movement therapy. I love to do all kinds of crafts, outdoor activities, cooking, reading & I have a great appreciation for music. I have known Denise for decades and worked with her for many years. She is thorough, kind, patient, compassionate and empathetic. She is a highly skilled nurse and caregiver. As a psychotherapist, I have noticed that her emotional intelligence and ability to be patient and reassuring and calming in even the most stressful of situations, is outstanding. I highly recommend Denise as a caregiver and would not hesitate to hire her for myself, or anyone that I love.
