About Denise

After more than 30 years of working in the healthcare field, I have returned to where my career began, in early childhood development. I believe that children need high quality childcare, with social and cognitive development in the context of play. I bring experience working with newborns to teenagers. Most recently I have been a nanny for a child under 12 months. I am the 7th of 10 children and learned the importance of sharing, accepting responsibility and getting along. My mother was a reading specialist and taught kindergarten and first grade for 25 years. I enjoyed going to school with her as a teenager, and it is what led me to pursue a degree in early childhood development. and meet children where they are.
