I started taking care of two people with extreme disabilities while I was still in high school, one was my age, and the other was five. I love them both. As a teacher, I would often get pulled from my classroom to help with children that were on the autism spectrum or had extreme sensory issues because I was the only one that could calm them down. Everyone called me the kid whisperer. I have been very successful with behavior modifications for children on the autism spectrum. I've never been bitten, kicked or had my hair pulled. Children just seem to take to me and at ease with me. I'm comfortable with all ages, infants to adults.
